Skrolli Party 2026
The seventh Skrolli Party returns to the Helsinki metropolitan area - to Laaksolahti, Espoo. The event takes place on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at Laaksolahti community center, a cultural venue housed in a former barn from 1905, originally part of the Dalsviken manor. As usual, you can expect compos, stage programme and relaxed company!
Everyone is welcome to Skrolli Party. Spots are filled in order of registration. The first 20 are reserved for the makers of the magazine. Entrance is free of charge, but there's a fee for a computer place if you want one. The main event day is Saturday 19 September, but those with computer places can bring their stuff on Friday afternoon while the event is being set up.

Party place
No accommodation is available at the party place and the premises must be vacated before midnight.

Compos
There will be three compos at the party: realtime, wild and fast.
The realtime competition is about making an executable program which produces moving image and audio in real time. The platform can be old or new, as long as it can execute a program.
Entries in the wild compo can be anything that can be presented with a screen and/or loudspeakers. It can be a picture, prerendered animation, a piece or music or a video of a live performance. Bring something from outside the box and surprise us!
Entries participating in the fast compo must be produced in a short time window during the party. Details will be announced later.
The best three entries of each category will get a trophy. Remote participation is possible in the realtime and wild compos.

Schedule
There's programme for the duration of Saturday 19 September 2026, from noon to almost midnight. A detailed schedule will be published later.
Food and drink
There will be snacks, drinks with and without alcohol, and possibly more. The venue has a kitchen where you can warm up or prepare your own food.
Computer places and supporter tickets
Entrance to the event is free of charge, but to get a computer place you need to pay a fee. You can also support the party by purchasing a supporter ticket. Both products are available directly from Skrolli's web shop.

- Do you want your name to be hidden on the list of participants
- Are you a maker of Skrolli (writer or editor)

- Do you plan to purchase a computer place (can be purchased in Skrolli's web shop)

The party has a capacity of 60 people. In the event of someone canceling, or if the spots reserved for the makers of Skrolli are not filled, people from the waiting list will be invited to the party in order of registration. The organizers may increase the capacity at their discretion.
